Our affiliates are constructing a new fiber optic and copper telecommunications network to deliver new generation technology and services and enhance the reliability of these services. At our network operations center, we are connected via dual DS3s to Tier 1 providers Sprint and UUNET. The network operations center itself is in a secure building which was recently expanded. It features a state-of-the-art fire suppression system, well-grounded four post racks, constant server and environment monitoring, and a dual redundant Cisco firewall solution. It is powered by DC battery strings, kept charged by commercial power, and backed up by a diesel generator, providing smooth consistent power with no blackouts or brownouts.
